SpeedCheck is a speedometer that runs at the same time as your map or navigation app. SpeedCheck provides a GPS speedometer, compass heading, max speed and optional speed limit exceeded warning. It is designed to run at the same time as Google Maps or other Navigation and can be configured to launch the navigation app applications (Sprint Navigation in version 1.0.0) for you. SpeedCheck runs as a notification at the bottom of the device screen. Tapping on the SpeedCheck notification will bring up the preference settings for SpeedCheck. SpeedCheck provides multiple layouts from showing just the current speed, all the way to showing Alert limit, heading, max Speed, and current speed. The alerts can be configured to be sound & color, color, or off. SpeedCheck also includes a GPS signal strength indicators and warnings when the palm GPS is not providing location or speed information.
