Speed provides a GPS based speedometer for your Palm Pre or Pixi. This app has been validated on devices on both the Sprint and Verizon networks. Speed continuously shows your current velocity and the GPS accuracy of your device with an easy to read signal bar icon. Options for showing compass heading, maximum speed, all time maximum speed, and average speed are available. Speed works over land, water, or in the air. Speed supports preferences for MPH/KPH display, selectable backgrounds, normal or statistics display, decimal places, compass heading, keeping the screen on, and pausing when in the background to conserve battery. (note: does not track maximum & average speed when the screen is locked).
